Packaging Visualization at Catalog Scale
350+ Studio Renders Across 16 Product Lines
About Project
Instinct needed catalog-format renders for their full packaging range, with multiple angles per product. The requirement was consistency across every line and exact reproduction of brand colors, with no shifts between designs or materials. The project covered 16 product lines and more than 120 SKUs, delivered over several months.

Pack Structures
Every pack was modeled from the client’s artwork and production dielines. The range covered 16 distinct structures, from a 2.6 oz split cup to a 25 lb kibble bag, including thermoformed cups, Tetra Pak cartons, spouted pouches and variety pack boxes.
Difference in a Line
The same recipe often runs in four or five sizes, and the structure changes with the size. Flat bottom on the small bags, rolled bottom on the large, with different zipper placement and proportions.
Color Accuracy
Brand color was the client’s primary requirement. We work from print-ready files rather than screenshots, with values verified during the build and again on the final frame.
The same color has to read identically on a matte bag, on glossy cup film and on carton stock, even though those materials handle light differently. What is approved for print is what appears on the product page.
Consistency
Lighting and camera angles were locked before the first SKU and never changed. Shared structures inherit an approved template, so a new line drops into an existing setup.
Scale is normalized across the catalog. A 3.5 lb bag and a 20 lb bag differ by several times in reality but occupy comparable space on a retail grid.
Deliverables
Each view was delivered as a layered PSD at 3000×3000, 300 dpi, CMYK, with the shadow on a separate layer, and as a PNG at 3000×3000, 300 dpi, RGB, no shadow, transparent background.
Front and back as standard, three-quarter where the pack required it, four separate views on split cups. Marketplace-ready on delivery.
Reusable Mockups
For the core lines we delivered the mockups themselves, built on production dielines. A new flavor or size does not return as a new project. The client’s team swaps the artwork and gets a render matching everything already live.
Instinct’s own team has produced additional bags this way. New structures and new formats stay with us.
Result
The current Instinct catalog reads as a single set across all lines and sizes. The client returned after the initial delivery to extend the set with new formats.
